Diet Guide

Diet guides are an excellent way to focus and stay focused on weight loss. Many times people will start a diet and, as time goes on the diet will be altered by the user and may be ineffective. Diets have rules and guidelines and people tend to “cheat” here and there. This cheating then becomes acceptable but has consequences when it comes to the weight loss results.

By having a diets guide, it serves as a reference and a sort of rule book. It is great to have handy whether you are counting carbs, calories or using a glycemic index. Everything you need is generally there and your questions can be easily answered just by picking it up and referring to a specific chapter.

A helpful tip that I use is to photocopy pages that I need when preparing food or those that I need for reference often. I hang them in a handy place by the fridge so I am reminded of rules and guidelines. It becomes much harder to cheat because it is all there in black and white.

Having clear guidelines helps with accountability when trying to stick with any weightloss program. So, whatever your weightloss method, make sure to not only have a reference or guide, but keep it handy.
